- Boot switch to ROMMON mode (plug power cord and hold mode button at the same time until 2 led lights turn orange)
- In putty the screen will show "switch:"
- Enter
flash_init
SWITCH_IGNORE_STARTUP_CFG=1
boot flash:packages.conf
After reboot (and press Enter) the screen will be "Switch>" :-)

delete vlan.dat (del flash:vlan.dat)

Reboot Cisco 3650 switch into ROMMON and edit SWITCH_IGNORE_STARTUP_CFG=0
Reboot

- Boot Cisco switch to ROMMON (by interrupting the boot process Ctrl-Break)
